　　The English Association of Kede College of Capital Normal University hosted the annual Halloween Party on Thursday, October 27 from 18:00-20:00 in the Student Stadium. College Administration & Faculty, Student Senate, and Student Ambassadors also helped plan the party and facilitate the activities.

　　首都师范大学科德学院英语协会于10月27日周四晚18:00-20:00在校体育馆举办了本年度万圣节派对。校内各部门、学生会及学生代表们积极策划并大力协助了本次活动。

Halloween is the night of the 31st of October and is traditionally said to be the time when ghosts and witches can be seen. On Halloween night(All Hollow’s Eve) the boundaries between all the worlds can be traversed. In the ancient tradition, gifts were given(Trick-or-Treat) and candles(Jack-O’-Lanterns) were lit to honor dead ancestors and guide them to the next world. Costumes and masks were worn to protect the world of the living from evil spirits.

　　万圣节是每年的10月31日，按照西方传统所说，这天可见鬼巫。传说在万圣节前夜，隔离不同世界的边界会开放，人鬼灵魔可任意穿梭各界。按照传统，人们会在这天互赠小礼物(“不给糖就捣乱”)，并且点起烛火(“南瓜灯笼”)以祭奠亡灵并指引他们去往新生世界。此外，人们也会穿着鬼怪式样的衣服或佩戴面具来驱邪祈福。

Despite the rain this year, a motley crew of mischievous boys, evanescent girls, Wizards, Vizards, and more all came to enjoy a fun time of special performances, talking, laughing, mystery mind puzzles, and fun times together. Decadent Halloween pastries were provided by the campus JinManMianbaoFang. In a community potluck style, everyone shared indulgently delightful “Blood Plasma” drinks -and of course- Halloween Candy!

　　尽管今年万圣节派对当天下着雨，“奇装异服”的学生们还是齐聚一堂享受了一个欢乐愉快的夜晚。顽皮可爱的年轻人们扮成男巫女巫、假面军团，一起畅谈、欢笑、猜谜、表演、游戏、整蛊。校内的面包房还给大家提供了传统万圣节点心。派对聚餐时，大家都畅饮了极具万圣节风格的饮品——“血浆”饮料。

　　Thanks to everyone who made this night possible and to those who brought their Halloween Spirit to this event by joining the English Association for a night of spook-tacular fun!Next year’s party is bound to be a scream!
